Students can come to the library to take out a book to read or use the computers that are provided in the library. There is a fifth year movie club each Thursday. Fifth years come and watch a movie and discuss it with Ms. Warren.

We put up the exam tip of the week and the word of the week every week on the window of the school library so that students can see them when they are passing the window.

We celebrated World Book Day on the 6th of March this year by putting up posters on the notice board about World Book Day, by giving out €1.50 book tokens to first, second and third years and running in school competitions.

We consulted students about what they would like from the library. The students suggested a photography competition which we hope to run soon.

First, second, third and fourth years made posters for the school library. These were of famous film characters  famous characters from novels to help improve literacy and to brighten the environment in the school library.

Around the white board in the library are positivity posters to promote well-being in the school. The positivity posters were made by third year students.

We contacted outside agencies to send promotional material to our school library to encourage interest in various school topics. We would like to thank Focus Ireland, the Simon Community and the National Roads Authority for their responses.

The library committee created a wall of positivity where each student in the school received a paper brick to write a positive slogan on it. All of the paper bricks were put together to make a giant wall of positivity which was displayed in the hall

We hope that more students will come in and avail of the services we provide for them.
